Bridal Brunch

A bridal brunch is a small gathering that the bride holds to thank her bridesmaids for holding a special place in her life and helping with the wedding. This is also an opportunity for the bride to give out the bridesmaid gifts. Along with the bridesmaids, other significant people to the bride can also be invited. These people are typically the bride’s mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, future inlaws, or any other women that are in the wedding. This is a special time where the bride is able to relax, decompress from all the stressful wedding planning, and spend time with the women who mean the most to her. Oftentimes, there is a time at the end of the brunch where the women embark wisdom on the bride and pray for fruition in her marriage.

Bridal Brunch Invitations

The invitations to a bridal brunch can be less formal and can be created through a simple software such as canva or they can even be created electronically. I would recommend getting them printed because it will be a special keepsake and reminder of the time well spent with the special women in your life.

Bridal Brunch Atmosphere

Depending on your preference, your bridal brunch could be more sophisticated, or it could be more casual. It could be the bride’s job to take care of the planning and preparing, but oftentimes the bridesmaids and the mother of the bride plan the bridal brunch. You should also consider matching the venue of the bridal party to the theme of the wedding.  Make sure that you plan your bridal brunch somewhere that is somewhat private so that you and your guests are able to have meaningful conversations without being interrupted by those around you.

Mama’s Boy at the Fall’s

Mama’s boy at the fall’s not only has stellar food, but the view of the waterfall behind the restaurant is a great place for pictures. You will not go wrong with sitting inside or outside at this restaurant.

Big City Bread

The atmosphere at Big City Bread is extremely calming, peaceful, and would be a great option for having your bridal brunch. The menu is very simple and your guests can either choose from the brunch or lunch menu. This is a great option for if you have guests that are not brunch fans.

Heirloom Cafe

Heirloom Cafe is by far my favorite brunch place in Athens, and I would go every weekend if I was able to. I think it is the perfect bridal brunch spot because the outside dining area is incredible. The menu changes every single week and they use all natural ingredients in their food. If you are a farm to table gal, then you should definitely consider Heirloom Cafe.

There are many other brunch places in Athens, but these are my top personal favorites and would be perfect for a bridal brunch. For all of these restaurants, I would recommend either reserving the restaurants or making reservations because they are all popular local spots in the Athens area. To avoid waiting an hour to an hour and a half, call in advance.
