What is a bridal lunch?

A bridal lunch or brunch is a daytime celebration for the bride and her bridesmaids. It is completely optional, but it is usually used as an opportunity for the bride to thank her bridesmaids for all of their hard work. It is usually limited to the women participating in the ceremony and is often held in the days leading up to the wedding. The luncheon could be used as a celebration on its own or in preparation for a trip to the nail salon. Additionally, the lunch could be hosted by the mother of the bride, the maid of honor or the bride herself.

Why have a bridal lunch?

A bridal lunch can be a great way to relax and unwind with the women involved in the big event. It can involve any type of food you desire, and does not even have to be limited to lunch! Although adding an extra event to the already extravagant wedding plans may seem tedious and unnecessary, it is a smaller and more intimate way to connect with the other women in the party. The lunch can also be a great opportunity for the bride to present her bridesmaids gifts. Rather than at another more chaotic event such as the rehearsal dinner, the bride can thank her bridesmaids personally and attentively with presents. Above all, a bridal lunch is an extra step to bond with your loved ones and take a step back from the wedding chaos.
