It is a known fact that every wedding and bride is different, whether this is in regards to small or large details. However, we can all agree that certain wedding traditions are shared by all.  One of the most important traditions is having beautiful, well thought out flowers to incorporate into the decor of the big day. Arguably the most crucial arrangement is the bride’s bouquet that will carry her down the aisle and into a new married life,  but this tradition may be one of the past. As time goes by and wedding styles change, the age-old tradition of carrying a bouquet down the aisle may not be necessary anymore, after all, every wedding is each couple’s own. Whether you want to stick to tradition or shake things up, we will explore the aspects and alternatives of carrying a bouquet down the aisle and help you decide what is right for you.

Be Yourself

When it comes to deciding whether or not you want a traditional bouquet,  stay true to yourself and choose based on natural instinct. If you have always dreamed of walking down the aisle to your future spouse while holding a bouquet of beautiful white flowers, it is probably best not to make a rash decision and switch to a feather bouquet at the last minute.

This also applies to anyone who feels that a traditional bouquet is the opposite of their style.  If you crave a unique approach to the traditional bouquet there are many different alternatives to flowers.  Choosing an alternative can add your own perfect and unique flair to your big day that will be remembered forever.

Explore Your Options

Although flower bouquets are expected by many during any wedding,  there are alternatives to flower bouquets if you feel that this is not your style.  Some other ideas include vintage fans, metallic paper “flower” bouquets, and feather bouquets.  If you can’t seem to find an alternative option that speaks to you, you can always choose to walk down the aisle with nothing in your hands.  Now it can be easier or more comfortable for the modern bride to leave the bouquet behind while she walks down the aisle.

Pros of No Bouquet

Although an unforgettable flower bouquet may be hard to leave out on your big day, there are benefits of not having a wedding bouquet. One important benefit is the amount of money saved because, after all, high quality flowers can be expensive. This money can be allocated to another part of your wedding that you may want to place more focus on.
