The age old saying is that you are better off safe than sorry, and this couldn’t be any more true than on your wedding day! On this super important day, emotions and nerves will be running high, and the last thing any bride wants is to have to deal with any sort of issues. This is why we recommend having a wedding day emergency kit. You can buy a kit at most bridal shops, boutiques, or online, but you can also make your own more personalized wedding day emergency kit. To make things even simpler, we have broken down what to include in your emergency kit by category, so keep reading if you want to be extra prepared for your wedding day!

One of the last things you want on your wedding day is a beauty emergency! To combat any and all emergencies of this sort, you should pack a few beauty supplies in your kit.
Lipstick or Lip Gloss – If any of your makeup is going to be messed up right before you walk down the aisle, it’s probably going to be your lipstick or lip gloss, so be sure to have it packed in your kit just in case! Also, you’re probably going to need to do touch-ups throughout the night, so this will be super helpful.
Hairspray – This one is pretty obvious, but it’s always a good idea to have some hairspray on hand to fix any flyaways!
Fragrance and Deodorant – A simple perfume, rollerball, or other type of fragrance can be really helpful. You may want to spritz some on after you put on your dress, so don’t forget this when packing your kit! Deodorant is definitely something you’ll be glad that you packed.
Clear Nail Polish – An age old trick to fix any runs in your tights is with clear nail polish. This simple fix could be used on anyone in your wedding party, so it’s a good idea to pack some polish. Also, if your manicure or pedicure gets chipped, this could work wonders for you!

Any problems related to your wedding dress are going to feel like a catastrophe, so you should be extra prepared in case those problems do arise.
Sewing Kit – This could end up being the most important thing in your emergency kit! In case you encounter any snags, tears, or buttons falling off your dress, the sewing kit will be your best friend. Make sure your sewing kit includes scissors, thread, tape, etc. that match your dress. It’s also important to have someone there who knows what they’re doing! This is when we need our girls, ladies!
Stain Remover Pen – It’s hard to think of anything worse than getting a stain on your wedding dress, so a stain remover pen will come in handy for obvious reasons!

Small Snack – It’s not really wise to go all day without eating, so be sure to have a small snack, like a granola bar or a pack of crackers, in your kit just in case you need a quick pick me up. Also, hydration is key, so don’t forget a bottle of water too!
Breath Mints – Everyone wants fresh breath, so be sure to pack some breath mints in your kit! Your spouse will also appreciate this when you have that first married kiss or when having your first dance!
Pain Reliever and Bandaids – You or someone else in your bridal party may end up getting a headache out of nowhere from all the stress that a wedding can bring, so having some sort of pain reliever around will alleviate that issue quickly! The same goes with bandaids; we don’t need any more stress!
Tampons/Sanitary Products – This one doesn’t really need an explanation. In this case, it’s always best to be prepared!

Lastly, you’re going to need some sort of bag or container to hold all of your products! You could use a makeup bag or cute tote bag, and assign one person, (hint: Maid of Honor or mom), to be in charge of it all day! You can also add anything else to your kit that you think will be helpful to you. Hopefully, our guide to a wedding day emergency kit is helpful to you as you prepare for your big day!
