The Pantone color of the year is Ultra Violet, a strikingly bold purple that can be easily incorporated into your wedding to give it a special 2018 touch. According to Pantone, the color “points us toward the future,” and a wedding symbolizes a beginning for a couple so it’s a meaningful color to use in whatever way you choose.

The color could easily be used in a bouquet. This deep purple will be eye-catching next to a white wedding dress or softly colored bridesmaid dresses. Choose a monochromatic bouquet, or use the noticeable color as an accent to lighter colored flowers.

The Ultra Violet-toned flowers will look lovely in centerpieces or as decoration. Even if they’re not the exact shade of the color of the year, using a similar purple works just as well.

Even if Ultra Violet isn’t your official wedding color, there are plenty of small ways to work it into your wedding day. When you look back at your wedding, you’ll be able to say that you used the official color of the year. The new color of the year is announced in December, and we can’t wait to see how you use Ultra Violet on your special day this year, and what Pantone picks for 2019!
