Every couple spending the time to plan their customized wedding day should opt for a signature cocktail for the event. No matter the date of your big day, there is a signature cocktail to complement each season.

Spring – The Earl Greyhound

Traditionally, the greyhound cocktail is grapefruit juice mixed with gin or vodka and served over ice. The Earl Greyhound is a fun twist on the classic original, substituting vodka for earl grey tea infused vodka. The earl grey infused vodka can be made by steeping earl grey tea in the alcohol overnight. For a milder take on the Greyhound, try the The Lady Greyhound which uses lady grey tea with the same bergamot taste as earl grey but with orange or lemon peel. Use the juice of a fresh grapefruit and mild honey to give a slightly sweetened, yet still refreshing taste. Add a sprig of thyme or sage leaf to garnish and add an earthy flavor to complement the spring season.

Summer – Honey Pear Margarita

There is nothing more refreshing than a summertime margarita – especially this honey and pear combination. Combine pear juice, tequila, triple sec, honey and a rosemary sprig in a large container. Let the mixture chill in the fridge, allowing time to marry all of the flavors. For an added twist, combine ¼ tsp of grated cinnamon and fine sea salt to rim your margarita glasses. Garnish with a sprig of rosemary or thyme and serve chilled over ice.

Fall – Plum and Thyme Prosecco Smash

Ditch the raspberries in your traditional aperitif sparkling beverage in change for slice stone fruit like plums or peaches. This plum and thyme prosecco smash the perfect combination to tingle your fall palette. Combine two sliced plums, six sprigs of thyme, the juice of one lemon, four tbsp of thyme simple syrup, and one bottle of prosecco, or any sparkling wine of your choice. Muddle the plums, thyme simple syrup, and lemon juice and shake with ice in a cocktail shaker. You can also opt to muddle the fruit in your glass if you prefer bits of fruit in your drink. Top off with prosecco and garnish with the extra sliced plums and sprigs of thyme.

This winterberry beverage is the perfect drink for any winter event. The freshly squeezed grapefruit juice paired with pamplemousse La Croix sparkling water gives this drink a fun citrus twist. Opt to add cranberry juice and seltzer water instead to keep with the holiday theme. Mix with any clear alcohol of your choice – vodka recommended. Add a sprig of rosemary and a few cranberries for a mild infusion of earthy undertones.
