The hot summertime heat has begun to disappear, and September presents itself as a great time to tie the knot. Every season is unique and beautiful in different ways. However, the start of autumn is very blissful as it brings exquisite colors and ideal weather to the state of Georgia. Choosing a date is one of the hardest decisions a newly engaged couple has to face when it comes to planning a wedding. The date of the wedding further influences the remainder of the details for the event. Thus, it is crucial to take the time to discuss and choose your wedding date wisely. Over the past years, an increasing number of couples have decided to tie the knot in the month of September due to the many benefits the month has to offer.

The months of June, July, and August in Georgia are hot and humid. However, September’s weather is perfect as it is still warm but not unbearably hot. If one desires to get married at a venue outside, September would be an ideal month to do so. One would not have to worry about providing blankets or warm drinks for their guests to hold during the ceremony to keep warm. If worried about the slight heat, one can provide fans and waters for the guests to use throughout the service. The nights begin to become cooler with temperatures ranging in the mid 70s. The days end with breathtaking sunsets, great for a post wedding photo shoot with the newlyweds or a big picture of the wedding party.

There is an extensive list of flowers that are in season during the month of September. One can choose from flowers such as Dahlias, Gerberas, Daffodils, Asiatic Lilies, Dahlias, Roses, and even Sunflowers. If wanting to incorporate a special touch, one could opt to include festive decorations such as pumpkins and maple leaves on the centerpieces of the reception tables. Furthermore, flowers can serve as elegant toppers for wedding cakes. Gold and red are traditionally thought of as the staple colors of autumn. However, shades of purple and green work great as autumn colors.

Summer is a busy season for most everyone. Between traveling, spending time with kids, and other festivities, there is little flexibility when it comes to fitting events into one’s calendar. As things begin to start settling down in August, and school reopens, the more open individual’s calendars become. Additionally, one may have greater venue, photographer, and other service options. Thus, with more options, one is likely to find the best cost-friendly option as they are not having to settle for what is available. Try to avoid the popular wedding season of May- August, and in return there will be better options and a greater attendance of guests.
